Recognised immigration organisations, from the Department of Justice roster
Every organisation here is an entry on the Executive Office for Immigration Review's recognition roster: the Department of Justice has approved it under 8 CFR 1292.11, and the representatives it accredits may give immigration legal advice.
More
Every organisation on this site is an entry on the Executive Office for Immigration Review's recognition roster: the Department of Justice recognises the organisation, and representatives accredited to it may give immigration legal advice (8 CFR 1292.11-1292.20). Entries are unclaimed public-register records reproduced as the roster publishes them, with the date the roster itself states. Recognition is FEDERAL: an organisation is not confined to the state its office sits in, so the state a page places it under is WHERE THE OFFICE IS and never a limit on whom it may act for.

How to check an entry before you go
- Read the expiry date on the entry. Recognition runs for a fixed term and the roster marks an organisation whose renewal is pending; both are reproduced here exactly as the roster has them.
- Call the number on the entry before travelling. The roster's contact details are supplied by the organisations themselves and an office can move between one roster and the next.
- Ask whether the person you will see is an accredited representative, and whether accreditation is partial or full. Full accreditation adds the immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals; partial does not.
- Check the roster itself if anything looks wrong. It is linked at the foot of every page, it is the authority's own file, and where it and this site disagree the roster is right.
